We reserve the right to amend reservations. We may occasionally have to change the accommodation or hire vehicle that you have chosen. We will always advise you when a change is made. Where a major change occurs, you will have the choice of either accepting the alternative accommodation or hire vehicle, or upon written instructions from you, we will be happy to refund all monies paid.
8. IF WE CANCEL YOUR BOOKING
Although it is highly unlikely, we reserve the right to cancel your accommodation or hire vehicle. 9. OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
The accommodation and hire vehicles reserved on your behalf are supplied by independent suppliers, over whom we have no direct control. However, to ensure that our clients receive quality service, we have been very selective with regard to the service providers used by the company.
10. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) You must ensure that you and the rest of your party have valid passports, visas (if applicable) and any vaccinations that may be required. You should check to ensure that no vaccinations are required for the Caribbean island you have chosen to visit. We are not liable for any costs, delays or illness resulting from your failure to meet these requirements. In addition, you must be responsible for the behaviour of yourself and your party. If your behaviour is disruptive, dangerous or annoying to other guests and you are requested by one of our independent suppliers to leave your accommodation or return your hire vehicle, no refund will be made by us in these circumstances.
(b)You are expected to leave your rental property in the same order and condition as you found it when you took up occupation. No pets are allowed at any of our rental properties. You should not abuse any telephone service provided, which includes accepting collect calls. Keys should be returned to the service provider or their appointed agent on vacating the rental property. No extra persons are permitted to stay at the property without the prior consent of the owner or their appointed agent. You will be responsible for all guests that you invite to the rental property. Breach of any of these regulations may result in charges being levied against you by our service providers, including legal fees, for which you will be wholly responsible.
11. INSURANCE
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are suitably insured before travelling to your destination. We strongly recommend that you read your policy document carefully to ensure that the insurance cover provided is suitable for the nature of your holiday. It is essential to ensure that appropriate cover is provided under the terms of your travel insurance before undertaking any activity that may be considered to be of a hazardous nature. If in doubt, do check with the insurance broker/company.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
We will not pay you any compensation where performance of our contract is frustrated by threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems to transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, cancellations or changes of schedule by scheduled airlines and similar events beyond our control.
13. COMPLAINTS
If you have a problem or cause for complaint regarding your accommodation or hire vehicle, you must inform the relevant service provider immediately. Your complaint should also be confirmed in writing to the service provider. If the complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up with us in writing within 14 days from the date you return home. This will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our response to you. Your failure to follow this procedure will result in us being deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint and this may affect your rights under this contract.
14. SWIMMING POOLS
It is the responsibility of the service provider to ensure that any swimming pool on their premises is cleaned regularly. It is unsafe to swim in a pool where the water has turned green due to algae.
15. INSECTS & CLIMATE
The Caribbean offers a tropical climate and everything that comes with it. Insects are therefore common but steps can be taken to reduce their presence. Do not leave opened food and keep doors and windows closed from around sunset if you do not have insect screens in your accommodation, as this is a favourite time for mosquitoes. Insect sprays can be very effective. It is worth investing in an insect repellent for protection against bites (or after if you have been unlucky).
16. DATA PROTECTION ACT
In order to make your reservations and to ensure that arrangements run smoothly and that we are able to meet your requirements, we need to use the information you provide such as name and address etc. We will use our best endeavours to ensure that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. However, we must pass on the information to the relevant suppliers, such as travel agents, as well as suppliers of accommodation and hire vehicles. It should be noted that you will be outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and therefore controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements of this country.
We will not pass on any information to any person not involved in your holiday arrangements. If we are unable to pass on the necessary information about you or any of your party to relevant suppliers, then we cannot process your booking. In making your booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.
